Jonny Iris

Jonny is an actor, singer, and dancer based in New York City. She is currently completing her BFA in Musical Theater in Manhattan. She is available for self tapes and in person auditions.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Jonny found many opportunities to hone her skills in musical theater performance. She has studied with Heather Lyle owner of Blue Cat Music Studio and the creator of Vocal Yoga for the past five years. She spent four years studying acting under accomplished actor, teacher, and playwright, Nancy Cassaro-Fracchiolla (Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding). Jonny also had the good fortune to learn puppeteering from Kevin Noonchester (Avenue Q, Las Vegas, Unstoppable) during his 15 hour puppetry boot camp while preparing for a role.

Jonny performed in an award winning production of Crazy For You directed by Broadway director Joe Barros (Gigi, Charlotte’s Web) named Best Musical and Best Production of the Year in the Broadway World Regional Awards, 2021. She had the fortitude to perform in a run of Something Rotten, directed by Nancy Cassaro-Fracchiolla with consultation by Karey Kirkpatrick (Something Rotten).  Jonny has also starred in a production of Avenue Q under the musical direction of accomplished pianist and Broadway conductor Michael Sobie (Wicked, Les Miserable, and more). Jonny is also building her television and film resume with several background appearances on ABC’s 911 season 6 and a featured background role in the film Butter (2020).

Aside from performing, Jonny has a passion for wigs, makeup, and special effects makeup. She has designed and executed hair and makeup for the productions Mean Girls and Mamma Mia at Mercer Hall in Pacific Palisades. She has also done hair and makeup for live sketch comedy shows and student films.
